My 2010 Silverado did the same thing. 111,422 mile on a 5.3 L V-8 with EFM system. Cause was catastrophic valve train failure, cylinder #7. New engine time. Engine tear down showed oil starved lifter wear in cylinder #7 and considerable oil sludge in the left rocker cavity while the right side was clean.
About three years ago, a random misfire developed on my '04 5.4L 3v under light acceleration (45-55 mph) at about 110k + mi. Neither plug change helped the misfire problem, just moved to different cylinders.

Jan 15, 2015 · I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 with 5.3 vortec and AFM. I am getting a misfire on cylinder 6. I swapped the spark plug, the wire, swapped the coil and I switched the fuel injector with a different cylinder. Tested the wiring with a noid light, tested the coil with an inline spark tester. Still misfiring on 6. Any ideas for me to try?
